After more than one issue that I have seen recently, I am compelled to write the following:
I believe that there is actually no such thing as a friend at the poker table. Poker is not a team sport. For everyone who knows me and all of you who don't... let me be clear.
I PLAY TO WIN. I PLAY TO BEAT EVERYONE WHO PLAYS AGAINST ME. I WOULD NOT SOFT PLAY MY OWN MOTHER AT A POKER TABLE... So what are the odds that I might go easy on you because we are friends?
I am a competitor. Everyone need to know this about me. So here are your choices.... Expect me to treat you exactly the same way I would someone I am not friendly with, or someone I don't even know.... Or don't sit at my table!
If that position makes you feel like you no longer want to be my friend.... Then so be it. I play to win... Always.
Bottom line....There should be no such thing as friends at the poker table!
Chuck Kerr says:
I've gotta laugh at this one because again you're making great sense. You're not there to make friends, you're there to make money. Wish your friends good luck before you sit down and then take their cash just like you would John Q Anybodyelse after you take your seat. Good advice, Thanks again.
